The classical texts · 公版原文
The Chinese classical texts on this site are public domain. They were composed over two thousand years ago and are not subject to copyright in any jurisdiction we operate in. We transcribe them from public-domain editions - primarily the Chinese Text Project (ctext.org) and Wikisource - and cite the edition on each page.
Our translations · 翻譯版權
The English translations on this site are original works of the Chinese Astrology Library, written from the classical originals - we do not reproduce the translations of others. They are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.
What that means, plainly:
- You may share and adapt our translations freely, with attribution.
- Derivative works must stay under the same license - the library's translations can never be locked behind a closed, paid edition. This is a structural promise, not a mood.
- Structured courses, personalized reports, and curated editions are new work built on the library; they are not the library's translations repackaged.
Please note: older translations found in public-domain archives - for example the nineteenth-century versions of Legge or Wilhelm - are not ours and are not what you see on this site.
The glossary · 術語表
Our bilingual glossary is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0) license - the same licence as our translations and bilingual corpus, so the whole library stays consistently open. You may share and adapt it for any purpose, including commercial use, provided you attribute it to the Chinese Astrology Library and keep derivatives under the same licence. (For the full licence summary and attribution format, see the License page.)
Fonts & images · 字體與圖形
